Hello friends!

I am sure after reading our blog, most of you might be tempted to visit South Africa. Thus, we are sharing the perfect 13 days Itinerary.

Most people do Kruger in the beginning and then the rest, but we would strongly recommend doing Kruger in the end as that would be the highlight of your trip and you should keep the Best for the Last !!!

Hope the below Itinerary helps in planning the trip of your lifetime….

Departure from your home to Cape Town

Day 01 – CAPE TOWN 

  • Arrival at Cape Town (We strongly suggest a flight arriving in the morning as you get to spend the entire day in Cape Town after a tiring flight journey)
  • Pick up your pre-booked rented car and head to your hotel (We highly recommend Gardens Area, as it’s the safest area to stay in Cape Town)
  • Lunch at Café Paradiso, Kloof street (the most amazing view of The Table Mountain)
  • Evening Cocktails at Café Grande, Waterfront area (Must visit for the view and cocktails)
  • Dinner at Black Sheep, Kloof Street (Please try their Steaks.. they are to die for!)

Day 02 – CAPE TOWN (STELLENBOSCH, CAMPS BAY)

  • Day trip to Stellenbosch (around 50 kms from Cape Town)
  • Start with Delaire Graff Wine Estate (The Wine lounge is the perfect place for some wine and cheese tasting)
  • Tokara Wine Estate for lunch (Please pre-book a table on the elevated upper deck for some surreal vineyard views)
  • End with Thelema Wine Estate (The best wine estate in Stellenbosch)
  • Sunset at Camps bay (Must visit Café Caprice– it’s the most buzzing place on Camps bay- extremely famous amongst locals)
  • Dinner at Col’cacchio (Try the Peroni beer there – a local favourite)

Day 03- CAPE TOWN (TABLE MOUNTAIN, V&A WATERFRONT)

  • Day trip to The Table Mountain (Please walk and see the nature reserve almost 3 to 4 hours. The views from every angle is different and totally worth it)
  • Evening shopping at V&A Waterfront
  • Drinks and dinner at Ferryman’s Pub, V&A Waterfront

Day 04- CAPE TOWN (BOULDERS BEACH, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE)

  • Day trip of the Southern Cape Peninsula
  • Early Morning at Boulders beach, date with African Penguins (you can chill there with the penguins, do kayaking and some shopping on the way out)
  • From Boulders beach to the Cape Point (a must visit place in South Africa)
  • Lunch at The Two Oceans restaurant, Cape Point (You can’t miss this place both for the view and the food)
  • Drive / Hike to the Cape of Good Hope (you can see clear blue waters here, no other Ocean there has this colour of water)
  • The Roundhouse, Signal Hill (Please go here for the sunset – You can see the table mountain on one end and the sun setting on the Atlantic Ocean on the other)

Day 05- KNYSNA (SELF DRIVE TO KNYSNA VIA THE GARDEN ROUTE)

  • Self Drive from Cape Town to Knysna via the Garden Route
  • Arrival at Knysna (we would strongly recommend staying at Knysna Heads)
  • Lunch at East Head Cafe at Knysna Heads
  • Dinner at the Royal Siam – Thai Cuisine

Day 06- CANGO CAVES & OUDTSHOORN

  • Day trip to Cango Caves & Oudtshoorn
  • First go to Cango Caves and take the Heritage walk if you don’t have much time (it takes about an hour to see the caves through this route)
  • The Highgate Ostrich Show farm, Oudtshoorn
  • Dinner at La Paz, Knysna ( Please do not miss the Margaritas here)

Day 07- PLETTENBERG BAY 

  • Day trip to Plettenberg Bay for Bungee Jump
  • Bungee Jump at Bloukrans Bridge
  • Back to Knysna Waterfront – Time for Shopping (you should be back to lunch time if you start early for Bungee)
  • Dinner at Cafe Mario’s
  • Dessert at JJ’s restaurant

Day 08- BYE BYE KNYSNA – HELLO KRUGER !

  • Flight from George to Skukuza via Johannesburg
  • Reach Kruger / Sabi Sands Game Reserve by Lunch time
  • Lunch at the Hotel / Camp
  • Evening Game Drive 01
  • Boma Dinner at the Hotel

Day 09 – SABI SANDS GAME RESERVE, KRUGER

  • Morning Game Drive 02
  • Breakfast at the Hotel
  • Evening Game Drive 03
  • Dinner at the Hotel

Day 10 – SABI SANDS GAME RESERVE, KRUGER

  • Morning Game Drive 04
  • Breakfast at the Hotel
  • Evening Game Drive 05
  • Dinner at the Hotel

Day 11-12 – BYE BYE SABI SANDS, HELLO JOHANNESBURG

  • Morning Game Drive 06
  • Flight from Skukuza to Johannesburg
  • Stay at the Peermont D’oreale Grande Hotel located very close to the airport
  • 1 night layover at Johannesburg

Day 13 – FLIGHT BACK HOME
